C2C and COVID-19
C2C is committed to providing you with the support needed to complete your education. We understand that lingering effects of the pandemic present challenges, and we are here to help. We encourage you to visit our FAQ page to learn more about the ways we are working for you.
The C2C program has been relaunched at all Mississippi public colleges and universities with a renewed focus on providing assistance to students most in need.* The program's mission remains unchanged—increasing the number of Mississippi adults with credentials of value.
To accomplish our mission we will continue striving to remove barriers that keep adult learners who have earned college credits—but not a degree*—from returning and completing their degree.
The C2C program provides one-on-one support from application through graduation. Dedicated coaches are on staff at each of Mississippi’s eight public universities, 15 public community colleges, and the medical center.

To fulfill our commitment, participation in the C2C Program is available to anyone who is 21 years of age and older, has earned at least 12 college credit hours, and left college at least two years ago without earning a degree.*
On September 1, 2021, the C2C program received an award from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation that adds to funding received from the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS).
Thanks to these combined awards the C2C Grant will now be able to support even more qualifying Mississippians in returning to complete their college degree. C2C can now award grants to applicants with greater household incomes. Additionally, grant awards can now be used to help qualifying students pay prior college debt owed to participating institutions.
To be considered for the C2C Grant, C2C program participants must submit a C2C Grant Application along with required documentation to C2C@mississippi.edu. All applications are processed on a first-come, first-served, basis and awards are based on funding availability at the time of applying.
Note: C2C Grant funds are disturbed to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to funding availability.
*An eligibility exception will be made for otherwise qualifying adults, who completed an associate degree, earned 90+ credit hours, and wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in University Studies.
